"I think the main thing that sets Suma Design apart from other builders is that Mark is a part of the process the entire step of the way. He was there for every decision we made whether it be cabinets, electrical placement, plumbing/faucet placement, tile choice/layout, landscaping, smart home design… EVERYTHING! There are A LOT of decisions to be made when building a house and he was always there by our side offering advice, suggestions and support.

I love the fact that my home is unique. This our second Suma Design home and both have stood out from any others that I have ever seen in the Kansas City area. Mark has always been a step ahead of his competition by using the best energy saving products and technology. (Blown in Bat Insulation, Cat6 wiring throughout, smart home technology) as well as in design. One of the favorite features of our current home built by Suma Design is the folding telescopic doors that lead to an amazing screened in porch with modern gas fireplace and TV. When the weather is nice… we never want to leave this space!! Some other features we love and get compliments on all the time by family/friends include the large open shower in the master bathroom, stair-stepped lighted bottle display in the bar area, hidden projector screen in the media area downstairs and of course the Control4 smart home technology that lets you control anything with your voice or the touch of a button (Installed by Independence Audio)."

"My husband and I began our search for a builder to build our dream home with little to no experience or knowledge. Early in the process, we saw one of Suma Design’s model homes and instantly fell in love. Being newbies, we decided to go ahead and participate in the Parade of Homes in order to give other builders a chance to blow us away. Instead, we found ourselves comparing every home to Suma Design. There were a few aspects of the house that we knew we wanted, however there were several times we told Mark to “do what you would put in your house.” We were never disappointed and his choices look better than we could have imagined. Having a builder we could trust was extremely important. We (mostly my husband) also loved that Mark was honest and transparent throughout the process about the cost and work that some of my crazy ideas would take. Mark always had our back with the vendors and would answer my questions so I truly understood what was going on.

We initially chose to work with Suma Design because we loved the style and feel of the homes (and still do). We would choose to work with Mark and his team again because of his communication, commitment to quality, and ability to make our vision a reality.
